$29.23–$31.29 per hour + $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for the installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment, facility systems, machinery, and electrical systems.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, can troubleshoot equipment independently, and is comfortable working with electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, and fluid systems.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $29.23–$31.29 per hour
- Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
- Hours: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
- Schedule: Rotating schedule:
- Monday–Friday one week
- Tuesday–Saturday the following week
- Sunday On-Call: Approximately once every 5 weeks
- Some overtime, weekend, and holiday work may be required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant and facility equipment.
- Diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment, including electrical and plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair pumps, boilers, steam systems, water systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and other fluid systems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
- Perform light welding, grinding, and cutting.
- Participate in developing and improving preventative maintenance procedures.
- Properly use tools, equipment, and required personal protective equipment.
- Maintain familiarity with plant equipment, facility operations, and production processes.
- Perform wastewater treatment duties, including testing wastewater and dumping the equalization tank approximately once every 5 weeks.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while also supporting the maintenance team.
- Follow all federal, state, and company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on maintenance experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial/manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- 1–3 years of maintenance mechanic experience.
- Experience maintaining blow mold equipment.
- Welding experience.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Boiler and steam system experience.
- Refrigeration experience.
- Machinery repair experience.
- PLC troubleshooting and programming experience.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
